Bata is an established brand with strong presence in 70 countries and 5,000 stores worldwide. With over 100 years of history in the shoe business, Bata offers a wide collection of shoes catering for the middle to high income group level, from toddlers to children, and ladies and men. The merchandise mix comprise of diverse collections as there are fashionable, trendy and up-to-date designs for every season. To name a few of our brands such as Bata, Marie Claire, Comfit, Power, Weinbrenner, Northstar, Pata Pata, Bubblegummer and Premium L The name Bata became known in Malaya when its first store opened in the Capitol Building, Singapore. On the same year, Tomas Bata established Bata Shoe Company Limited to carry on business as manufacturers, distributors and marketers of footwear, as well as dealers in leather and rubber goods. Five years later, a factory was built in Klang to manufacture quality rubber footwear. One of Bata's significant contributions to the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Malaysia is the funding of the Bata Mobile Education Unit (MEU). The MEU visits schools all over Peninsular Malaysia to educate students on environmental and conservation issues. Educating the younger generation is essential in ensuring the continued conservation of the natural environment.
